One of my favorite things to do in life is to write. Writing is a form of expression, a way to tell the world about me. And writing allows me to tell about my other loves and experiences in this life. Topics may seem random, but they will always be inspired by something from my day.
Another love I have is wine. I have to attribute my father to the reason behind this passion. There really isn’t a wine I don’t like, but I tend to be a red wine lover. Wine is a wonderful thing because it is an ever-changing field, full of discovery and ready to be discussed over dinner or even a backyard BBQ. I love the fact that wine can bring people together, and I never crack open a bottle or sip from a glass without thinking of my beloved father.
I also love holistic nutrition and received a certification as a holistic health coach in 2018 from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I believe food is health and we can address many symptoms and basic illnesses simply by knowing what it is we put in our bodies. Everyone is an individual when it comes to health and finding a proper diet. And I want to dispose of the word “diet” as a mechanism for looking good and fitting in. Diet should be something we strive to do as a way to keep our bodies and minds rolling along in a healthy manner. It should be a mechanism to keep us around for years to come so we can enjoy the wonderful moments life has to offer us all.
I am starting this blog for a variety of reasons- to vent what is in my head, to share recipes, healthy lifestyle tips and perhaps leave you with some kind of wine knowledge. I may always be the only one looking at this site, but if you happen to stumble across me for some reason, I hope you enjoy what you read.
